Thanks to all those people who cared so much, the Army Team was the first to reach the goal. BUT DON’T STOP NOW!!!
Remember, the great and mighty Bamapachyderm Empire is on the Marine Team! They need to get to the goal!
Did I tell ya’ll Ms. Beth was in the Air Force? Just wondering. Heh. She’s on the Marine Team…hehe…
Well, the squids will come in second place…RIGHT BEHIND ARMY!!!!

And seriously, thank you all for all your donations. I know there’s people who actually have jobs and money and stuff who can give a LOT more that my life savings. Truly stupid what I just did, but seeing Mrs. Chuck just ruined my good sense. We won.
I needed to win something.
But the real winners are the people who are coming back who aren’t whole anymore. We in the Armed Forces have this annoying habit of thinking we are indestructible, till that first mortar hits.
I was lucky, and they couldn’t hit within 50 meters of me. The soldier 50 meters behind me wasn’t so lucky. She came out fine, but I have a special place for this project. It’s a worthy cause. Please give.

I gotta agree with Beth (don’t fall over, hon). Everybody kicked butt to supply our wounded warriors with great morale tools for their rehab.
The competition was a lot of fun as well. I may have to keep a low profile on some of the Army sites for a while. :grin:
Still time before the closout to donate! Remember your Veterans on Friday. A simple, “Thank you.” would be appreciated by those who served.
