Holy cow, that’s a lot of tags! But it’s the truth, people.

Gateway Pundit has the scoop on this dude…who, I SWEAR doesn’t look like any Marine I’ve ever seen…ever…but I digress…

It seems that, even considering how non-Marine-like this dude looks, he IS a Marine…and a fraud! AND DUDE WAS A RECRUITER?!? Crazy.

Or, it could all be a pile of lies. Dude’s a liar. Can we just automatically assume that anything coming out of Camp Ditch Witchâ„¢ is a flat-out lie? Can we?

Check this shi’ite out:

Massey was discharged in December 2003, shortly after returning from Iraq due to depression and post-traumatic stress syndrome.

He began turning up in the press and on broadcasts last spring with stories about military atrocities. Massey’s primary thrust has been that Marines from his battalion - some of whom, he told a Minneapolis audience, were “psychopathic killers” - recklessly shot and killed Iraqi civilians, sometimes, he said, upon orders from their commanders. During a hearing in Canada, Massey said, “We deliberately gunned down people who were civilians.”

The Marine Corps investigated Massey’s claims and said they were “unsubstantiated.”

From the beginning, Massey misled reporters.

Actually, the pathetic traitor LIED through his teeth. STL Post-Dispatch reporter Ron Harris:

Media outlets throughout the world have reported Jimmy Massey’s claims of war crimes, frequently without ever seeking to verify them.

Obviously. Because whatever an antiwar activist says MUST be true.

For instance, no one ever called any of the five journalists who were embedded with Massey’s battalion to ask him or her about his claims.

FIVE journalists? And NOBODY EVER verified anything he said with them?

The Associated Press, which serves more than 8,500 newspaper, radio and television stations worldwide, wrote three stories about Massey, including an interview with him in October about his new book.

But none of the AP reporters ever called Ravi Nessman, an Associated Press reporter who was embedded with Massey’s unit. Nessman wrote more than 30 stories about the unit from the beginning of the war until April 15, after Baghdad had fallen.

You got that, right? The AP wrote stories and interviewed him, but didn’t even ask ONE OF THEIR OWN reporters about him–one who was actually embedded in his unit and presumably saw what happened with his own eyes. 30 stories would certainly indicate SOME knowledge of the actual activities of the unit.

Jack Stokes, a spokesman for the AP, said he didn’t know why the reporters didn’t talk to Nessman, nor could he explain why the AP ran stories without seeking a response from the Marine Corps. The organization also refused to allow Nessman to be interviewed for this story.

He “didn’t know.” Well, I think we all know. I just can’t believe this is how they run a business–don’t you ever wonder HOW MUCH ELSE is crap? Hey, Lefty, I’m talkin’ to YOU, Mr. “Question Everything.” Question everything that doesn’t fit with your world view, just like the pond scum in the “mainstream” press, is what that’s really about.

Some media did seek out comment from the Marine Corps and were told that an investigation of Massey’s accusations had found them baseless. Still, those news outlets printed Massey’s claims without any evidence other than the word of Massey, who had been released from service because of depression and post traumatic stress disorder.

Oh. Some DID ask for comment from the Marine Corps, but it didn’t fit their slant, I guess. God knows if it comes from DOD, it must be a lie, huh? Why even bother, if you aren’t even going to use it? Why not take what the Marine Corps said and compare it with Nessman’s account, or that of the other embedded reporters, if you are skeptical of the Marine Corps’ side of the story? Oh, I forgot; they didn’t ask the embeds.

How many more times does this shi’ite have to happen, where “news” is taken as fact DESPITE glaring omissions of fact?

I guess we won’t be seeing this asshat running for President in 30 years…
