Jebus! As anyone who has ever been in the military know, our guys do not get media training (unless you are a CAPT/Col or CMC/CSM). How would the media have reacted if every statement sounded like this:

“Yes sir, Mr President. These Iraqi soldiers are some tough sons of bitches! Just the other day they slapped the dogshi’ite outta some terrorists. Those fuckers didn’t know what hit ‘em. It was fuckin sight to see.”

Okay, that is how Sailors, Soldiers, and Marines talk but, I don’t think the DOD wants that kind of langauge on the evening news. It would cause Chris Mattherws, Kieth Olberman, et al to piss their pants.

Ya know, were I going on live TV with the President, I might want a little coaching, too. I guess it slipped the media’s minds that this is typically what happens before live tv happens, especially when dealing with folks who aren’t on tv much, or at all.

I was on the local news once, wasn’t even live, and the reporter said she was going to ask me about so and so, then move on to something else.

Who cares what Huffington thinks. Bush is a politician; therefore, this is politics. In other words, it’s staged.

    Simple enough.

    Speaking with the Commander-in-Chief

They Call Us, “Doc” was among the soldiers speaking with President Bush this week via teleconference. He has a few things to say about the experience. (HT: Beth)…
