Democrats on filibuster : Just say no!
Now that John Roberts is on his way to becoming the next Supreme Court Chief Justice; the Democrats are focusing on the next guy who Bush nominates for the court. Apparently they have decided that they’re most likely going to filibuster against that nomination. Even though, they don’t know who that nomination is yet.
It has made me realize something very important about those wacky Democrats and the filibuster… The filibuster is not just a shifty tool they use and a political career destroyer (think Daschle), but apparently there are some narcotic qualities within the filibuster that addict the user and blind them to any sense or reason (or is this a quality needed to use the filibuster?). In other words, the filibuster is the Democrat’s crack.
There must be some strange high or buzz given to them as they use the filibuster to try and manipulate the presidential nominees. A sense of empowerment and euphoria to compensate for the lack of power. They itch and scratch like junkies to use their special friend and were so disappointed that Roberts couldn’t fufill their wish. So now they say to comfort themselves as they try to get to the next high: “next time.” Without any knowledge of who that nominee will be.
Absurd? But a reality. What employer in their right mind would already be planning how to turn down a job applicant without even knowing who that applicant is? And especially since the position is open, if they do manage to turn down the next nominee; there will be another. Appointed by a Republican president.
Sorry to kill the buzz, Harry Reid. But really get help. Now.

If the Ansar al-Donkey are really thinking of filibuster, I hope Frist is ready with his spinal implant and his ‘nuclear’ detonator.
