OK, so yesterday, I didn’t write anything original; I spent the day reading everyone else’s tributes and writings about 9/11 and watching the shamefully few 9/11-related shows on TV with my daughter. I still don’t think there’s anything I can say that will adequately express what I thought then or now, but I have to say a few things.
Maybe I’m weird or something, but I’ve never cried about it; I’ve been too full of rage about 9/11 and terrorists in general to ever cry. Nor do I care to cry, either–I’m really not one to do that. That said, I watched the Flight 93 show and Inside 9/11 (again) yesterday, and I could feel that rage all over again, with my pulse racing and the bile rising inside. Bloodlust, if you will. And then, of course, the crushing frustration at my inability to act–my medical retirement from the military, my gender and small size, lack of physical brute strength, and now also my age keeping me from going in the Special Forces or flying a Blackhawk or A-10 or something. Even if I were still in the military, I worked at a farking desk. I felt this frustration during Desert Storm, but nowhere near the level that I do now because I at least supported the mission, even if I wasn’t on the front lines. I can’t even work as a contractor “over there.” If anything were to move me to tears, it would be that frustration.
I don’t like to get so personal on my blog, but there it is. Bloodlust. I want those farkers dead and in Hell with their 72 Medusas, and I feel no mercy for those who empathize or apologize for them, either. They ARE evil, the embodiment of it. They train their children to hate and murder, even to be “martyrs” (martyr, my ass)–but if martyrdom is so great, why aren’t their older leaders doing it? They see no difference between the Crusaders of history and my six year-old daughter–to the radical Islamists, they are equally worthy of murder. They want to impose their obscene “religion” (cult) on everyone else because they think they will be empowered by our submission. They abuse children, women, and everyone who is not “one of them” so their power isn’t threatened. The delusional ramblings of their cult founder are used to justify their murderous power-grabbing and selfish desires, and those Muslims (i.e. Sufis) who dare to read something else–something good, something actually spiritual–in the words of the cult founder are deemed “apostates.”
And 9/11?
But as the dead were remembered, ABC News broadcast a tape of a man - believed to be Californian al-Qaeda member Adam Yahiye Gadahn - calling the 2001 atrocities “blessed events” and warning of further attacks on Los Angeles and Australia.
“Yesterday, London and Madrid. Tomorrow, Los Angeles and Melbourne, Allah willing.
We are Muslims. We love peace, but peace on our terms, peace as laid down by Islam, not the so-called peace of occupiers and dictators.”
This terrorist is an AMERICAN, one corrupted by this poisonous cult, just like Jihad Johnny Lindh. This scum is in our neighborhoods, in our back yards. If there were ever a “NIMBY,” this is it. Yet we–free nation that we are, contrary to the America-bashing left–allow schools that teach MURDER in this country, and befriend those who finance said schools. We allow the teaching of murderous ideology in our prisons–hardly a haven for peaceful people to begin with–and then turn these converts/convicts out on our streets, into our back yards.
I’m mad as hell, because the RIGHT thing to do would be to abolish Wahhabism and all its advocates from this country, but apologists scream “McCarthy!” to any suggestion of the kind–while at the same time they bash Bush because of family connections to the House of Saud. I’m full of rage that we are fighting a real world war on radical Islam with one hand tied behind our backs, and the left calls this war a failure. We’ve been held back on every single weapon at our disposal, all the way to bomb searches, because of “political correctness,” idiotarian moral equivalency, and irrational fears about a police state. (Sorry, that includes you too, Libertarians.) There are times when certain things should temporarily not be all about “civil liberties,” because the fundamental civil liberty is that of being alive and free from the threat of violence. I’m sick of hearing all the theoretical hand-wringing from people who obviously have no faith in the American spirit, the American fundamental belief in freedom, where they think that a temporary suspension of certain liberties (a.k.a. The Patriot Act) means a slippery slope toward a police state. It’s BULLCRAP, plain and simple, but some people refuse to see it either because of willful ignorance or utopian idealism. Bullshi’ite, bullshi’ite, bullshi’ite.
I had no “great awakening” with 9/11; I knew it was Islamic terrorists from the instant the second plane hit the WTC, and in fact, I suspected terrorism once I saw the first plane wasn’t just a crash by a clueless Cessna pilot. The Iranian Revolution and hostage crisis in 1979 was my defining event, after the Munich Olympics gave me my first taste of what radical Islam was about. 9/11 was, for me, the natural order of events–something I guess I always knew would happen in some form, although not necessarily in the way it was done. I don’t remember being surprised or even shocked, just more enraged than I’ve ever been, and while that rage isn’t as explosive as it was on that day and the days following, it’s still there.
I won’t get over it until they are defeated. Whatever it takes. Peace on OUR terms, not theirs.
Flame away, idiotarians. Here’s some advice for you, although I really don’t care what you’ll say, and you’re not going to change my mind no matter what you say here (especially when all you can do is call me an “extremist” or some other namby-pamby crap). Period.

How many of us are there with the ‘bloodlust’? Judging by Bill Whittle’s visits last week, quite a few.
I wish I could write something about 9/11. But everytime I try, I just get tied up in knots and froth and foam at mouth. And I don’t think anyone wants to read a post that’s nothing but a four-hour long Deanscream.
So I’ll just say “what Beth said.”

You said it right and well Beth. I’m a bloodlusting one too. There is no end to their terroistic ways unless we MAKE IT END. Most of these terrorists are not Americans, (The ones who are need to be captured, brought back, tried by a court of their not so happy peers, found guilty and HUNG FOR TREASON on the White House Steps!) but the rest of them….Kill them off. Give the children they’d otherwise raise as hate mongers a chance, and get the bastards off our backs once and for all
dingo says:
Why is it then that we cannot have a temporary suspension of the “right” to buy 50 caliber rifles and ammunition.
And can we please get some of the same indignation from the right against those who would corrupt Christianity to declare war on homosexuals, minorities, women, etc.
I am all for ridding ourselves of those who wish to destroy democracy, but this has to be a group effort.
Beth says:
I’m asking this in all seriousness, Dingo: other than that monster Fred Phelps and other fringe nutcases, who’s declaring war on homosexuals, minorities, women?
Seriously. As far as I know, not even Phelps (whom I honestly wish would just drop dead) goes around killing those who don’t follow his fucked up beliefs, much less chopping heads off or hijacking planes.
It’s just not an honest comparison. There are a LOT of Christians with whose dogma I don’t agree by any means, but I seriously don’t see it as the threat that radical Islam poses. For one thing, even the Robertsons and Dobsons are a small minority in this country (despite the paranoid rantings of many). And REALLY, declaring war on gays/women/minorities? No.
I think the reason why you don’t see people on the right “speaking out” against them as much as against radical Islam is because 1) you’re not paying attention, because there are plenty; 2) it isn’t a “clear and present danger;” and 3) our right to vote keeps them from taking over. We don’t get to vote against jihadis, y’know. Our approval isn’t required for them to have any effect on us, although apologists and those who minimize their evil most certainly enable it.

responding with all due seriousness. Ask the average homosexual if they think it is more likely that they would be killed by a terrorist or by someone who takes it upon themselves to “do the lords work.” Ask the average black in this country if they think it is more likely that they would get killed by a muslim, or by a bunch of red necks who get drunk and decide to “have a little fun.”
The difference between Fred Phelps, Matt Hale, and some mullah preaching hate is zero. They both advocate terrorism. Whether it is terrorizing a country or a specific community, they are both are terrorist. Now, to the American peoples credit, there are far fewer of us who would actually do Phelps or Hales bidding, but we are not so far from a time when there were a lot more people who would have gladdly done their bidding. To many Americans, there is no difference between islamic terrorist and racial terrorists. And we both know, racial and hate crimes against homosexuals happens to this day in this country. Maybe you don’t get the same picture I do since I am multi-racial and have some very close gay friends.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t give this guy in california a pass. Lock him up. And I don’t give a pass to any “leftist” (as you call them) for defending them. They don’t make any sense to me either. But for me, there is no difference in the sevarity of the crime if it is coming from a muslim or a racist. Preaching death to Americans is preaching death to Americans, regardless of color, or sexual orentation.
Beth says:
OK, hang on, who’s Matt Hale? Is he another Phelps scumbag?
See, the difference is like I said. I don’t even know who Hale is without Googling (which I haven’t done yet). I can’t very well “speak out” against those I don’t even know of, and I just don’t bother with Phelps because I guess it kinda goes without saying that he is the embodiment of hate. I certainly don’t spout any views that he has. I also don’t write about David Duke, but I think he’s just as bad. I just don’t think it’s necessary to even bring it up. Besides, our own religious/political fringe isn’t something I spend any time thinking about, so I really don’t have much to say except “they suck” (well, you get the point). I mean there are plenty of lunatics on the left that I’m sure you don’t waste your time on as well, you know?
As far as asking the average black or gay person those questions, I don’t have to. I’d agree their chances are greater of getting attacked by some slimebag here than by a terrorist, but that’s because of proximity as much as anything. I wouldn’t indict Christianity for that, either; that has nothing to do with Christianity. (I’m no Christian scholar by any means, but of that fact I am sure.) There are crazies everywhere; some say God says to do whatever, others say their dog told them. Same thing with radical Islam. But ask the average Christian if they think violence against blacks or gays is justified, and the answer will be “absolutely not.” Ask the average Muslim if they think violence against infidels is justified, and the answer changes a bit. You know this, of course.
See, we know the same basic facts, Dingo; that there ARE evil people in our country who “preach” violence against other Americans, and that it’s just as bad as what the Islamic radicals do. The difference is we ARE at war with them, as we should be. What else would you do with those who conducted and supported 9/11 and the thousands of other terrorist acts committed in the name of Islam? Obviously, legal action hasn’t daunted them in the least. And obviously, we aren’t going to go bombing Fred Phelps’ church (I can’t say I would complain, but again, you know what I mean).
Bad is bad, evil is evil, but they’re on such different scales it really IS apples and oranges. Fred Phelps might have the goal of running the country with his vision, but it’s not gonna happen. Ever. Islamofascists want a worldwide Caliphate, and they murder on mass scale to force dhimmitude and/or submission. Surely you can’t disagree that it worked in Spain?
Long story short, the crazies we’ve got can drop dead, rot in prison, whatever, and I’d be happy. I don’t believe that you’d advocate their arrest just for being assholes, would you? But as bad as they are, they’re just not the same as Islamofascists. Again, apples and oranges.
BTW, I use the term “leftists” because I refuse to call the hard-liners on the left “liberals.” They don’t deserve it. Dingo, I would say you, Gun-Toting Liberal, and a few others I know (from the blogosphere) are liberals, but very few. Most that I’ve seen have no right to call themselves “liberal” at all. (You know who I mean–the DU and Kossacks, and their ilk. I am more “liberal” than those fuckers are.)
Gun-Toting Liberal says:
Wow, Beth… I’ll give you this: your heart, and RAGE are both most certainly in the right place. I know I won’t change your mind on the USA Patriot Act, or “temporary suspensions” of our Civil Liberties to defeat a horrible foe, and you won’t likely change mine either, but that’s the beauty of our Nation. BOTH opinions count :-)
Call me a hopeless optimist, or a bleeding heart Lib, but I just think the best way to defeat these bastards is to continue right on, enjoying ALL of the freedom and liberty guaranteed us by the Constitution via our Founding Fathers, while we frustrate our attackers even MORE in their realization that you just can’t stop America from being who she is, and no matter how hard you try.
A free LIVING Nation is a FREE THINKING Nation. A free thinking Nation has a leg-and-a-half up on a twisted theocrisy ANY day of the week, and I think that is a great way to describe the terrorists’ group; a “twisted theocrisy”.
As for bashing your Air Force service because you sat at a desk; do not forget one thing: the Air Force is one of those few jobs where even the desk secretaries are well trained to mobilize into a war zone with their M-16’s, survive on MRE’s in the heat and/or cold, and do more pushups and situps in one minute than most OTHER secretaries will do in the next two years.
I thank you for your service to this great Nation of ours. There are “paper pushers” in Iraq right now who are there to take care of the paperwork for the Generals for x-number of hours per day, THEN they hit the foxholes on the perimeters with their M-16’s for the next x-number of hours. You KNOW this is how it works; do not sell yourself short.
Last but not least, thank you for making the distinction between the far-left and the true Liberals. Most on the right do not realize there is a HUGE gap, but as you obviously know, there IS INDEED. As you know, numerous studies have been conducted that show CLEARLY that there is often much discourse between Liberals who meet the Webster’s definition of the term and those “liberals” (small “L”) who meet the CNN definition.
And thanks again for pointing that out to your readers who may not have realized that yet.
Blog ON, my friend :-)

Matt Hale was the leader of the Church of the Creator (racists group similar to the KKK). several of his followers went on a shooting spree and as of April, he is serving 40 years in prison for ordering a hit on a federal judge.
I know you have made a distinction between Leftists and Liberals before and thank you for doing it again. Just like I make a distinction between “wingnuts” and conservatives. I don’t share anymore in common with a leftists as you do a wingnut.
But, in the end, I see little difference in a Muslim suicide bomber and Eric Rudolph who bombed gay night clubs and abortion clinics, doing so in the name of god. Or Fred Phelps who wanted to erect a monument to the men who killed Mathew Shepard at the Idaho state capital.
And if proximity is a factor, if it is more likely that an American will be attacked by another American than by a Muslim, than why is this NOT at least an equal concern. This too, is clear and present danger.
I will agree with you that I have spent less time talking about leftists as I have about religious zealots. I think I’ll write a post about both of them today. I am going to snag your picture of the al queda asshole from your post.
