Flight 93 Memorial
In one of my 9/11 posts yesterday, I included links to some memorial sites, but deliberately excluded the one for Flight 93, because I’m sick about the insane design, “Crescent of Embrace.” (WTF? Islam embracing the victims? I think not.)
I find it very hard to believe that the families of Flight 93 are so enthusiastic about the design, as has been claimed. It’s mind-boggling.

The designer is almost correct. It’s an “Islamic embrace of death.” Somehow I doubt he meant it that way.
Hopefully somebody with more common sense will veto these plans. I’m not sure how, but I have hope.

Actually, I think I used those exact words in my letter to Fran Mainella (Islamic Embrace of Death) in posing the various interpretations of it. GMTA, huh? :wink:

This design is not a mistake. The designer could not mistake this for anything other than an Islamic Crescent.
This is an attempt to tell the people of America that we are responsible for the events of 9/11. It must be stopped

Uhhhhh excuse me, but……….How in the world does this design get picked to be the winning design over the other ones??? This design was just one of over a thousand proposals, and clearly this architect’s design does have symbolic overtones that cannot be rationally dismissed [even if only a few Americans notice it].
However, let’s not blame the architect, RATHER…. BLAME THE INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP OF THIS COMMITTEE [IDIOTS] WHO PICKED THIS DESIGN OUT OF A THOUSAND!!! Coincidence??????? As an American, I am utterly ashamed and we Americans need to make those who picked this design personally accountable.
