Terrorist Yemeni Thugs…Again
You MUST read this: At Armies of Liberation, Jane reports again on the brutal thugs in Yemen, where Jamal ‘Amir, editor in chief of the Yemenite independent weekly Al-Wasat, was brutally beaten, his children were threatened, and he was threatened with beheading and having his tongue cut out. Why, you ask? For writing about corruption in awarding university scholarships:
The Alwasat weekly newspaper has published an article reporting on who is sent for college studies in the U.S., England, and Canada. The article is quite informative in that it stated that the amount of students (56) sent to the three nations on government scholarships are all sons of ministers, prominent sheiks, Ambassadors, relatives of Ali Saleh, etc… Most were not worthy of the scholarships. Those students qualified were either not given the scholarships or were sent to other countries, like Pakistan and India. According to the article, 98% of the students sent to Canada, the U.S. and England did not qualify for the scholarships. They got the scholarships by way of orders from the Prime Minister himself, by the President, or by other high officials.
Jesus. It sounds just like Saddam and his goons. Why is it that during a “war on terror” (read: Islamofascism–or as Orianna Fallaci would say, Islamonazis) this kind of thing is routinely ignored?
This is HARDLY an isolated incident. I just hope it’s only a matter of time before that gang of thugs is put down for good.
Remember the USS Cole bombing? Jane has more on that, too–and notes that there is a “document admitted in Yemeni court that details Yemeni goverment complicity.”
