The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
I’m supposed to be guest-blogging at basil’s blog this week. And Jody’s, still. And probably somewhere else that I’ve forgotten. What do you do when you have nothing to say and you already put up an open trackback post, and you can’t even work up a good rant because you blew it all out two days ago? Hand out reading assignments and linky love! Wheeeeee!
Check out Jody’s new look; and I hope this means she’s back from her crapped-out computer hiatus, because I can’t take the guilt from not posting over there.
More linky love: my dear Italian friend at The Right Nation now has his wonderful site in Italian AND English, so I can finally kick Babelfish and Google translation to the curb. ;-) Go on over and read The Right Nation and blogroll him!
Of course, it’s Tuesday, so that means it’s time for the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!
The Good: It’s Cotillion Day! Hosting this week are baldilocks, with a Cotton Club theme (thanks a lot for feeding my addiction to art, Juliette!); Darleen, channeling Steve Rubell in the disco style, MaxedOutMama, whose power never goes out; and Kate, who keeps it simple with the Rockettes. As always, it’s all wrapped up at the main Cotillion site.
The Bad: Bonfire of the Vanities, what else? Wunderkraut managed to write more about my crappy post than I wrote in the post itself, and takes a whole slew of us to task for being crappy bloggers. (As usual, in my case.) More scorn is heaped upon two bloggers who link-whored GOOD posts for the Bonfire. (WTF is up with that, anyway?) Speaking of the the Bonfire, I’ll be hosting it right here where crap posts will be right at home, on August 30th!
The Ugly: The Carnival of the Clueless is up at Right Wing Nuthouse, showcasing no less than 32 clue-clubbings of the biggest idiotarians of the week! Not for the timid or easily agitated, but definitely for those of us who like to brandish the old ClueBatâ„¢!
Finally, since I still don’t have much else to write for right now, how about you link to this and send a trackback? Yeah, I’m doing open trackbacks with this too. If you have something you’d like others to read, link to this post, and send a trackback. If you use Blogger or something else that doesn’t send trackbacks, use Kalsey’s Simpletracks form. Your link will show up below, in the post (and count toward your ecosystem stats, if you care).
As always, trackbacks without a link to this post in yours will be deleted! For more information about trackbacks, see Harvey’s primer on the subject.
Hey, I think I’ll cross-post this at basil’s blog!

Never apologize for open trackbacks. They’re almost as sexy as your header image.
Oh, who am I kidding? They’re MORE sexy. I am so way too into blogging.
I’m going to go cry now.

And no, you aren’t a lousy guest blogger. You’re just busy.
And personally, I go for the header image above the Open Tackback. But it’s close.
