First off, a quick Beth Update. She and Sydney have decided to pull up stakes and wander the countryside looking for civilization a la Stephen King’s The Stand. But they’re doing fine. Once Mobile rediscovers the wonders of electricity, she’ll be back. Well, sort of, once she gets through 80 gazillion emails, most of them for Super Male Enhancement and Stamina!
Good ‘ol Phin is pitching in to helpHurricane Kuntrina victims with a unique idear. Head on over to his place and put a bid in for your very own blog makeover. Get a kickass blog design AND feel gooood about it!
Oh yeah, sorry about no White Trash Wednesday post, but Beulah Mae was last seen leaving a looted Wal Mart in N’ awlins pushing a cart containing a brand new set of hot rollers and 36 bottles of Aqua Net Ultra Hold Hair Lacquer.
This information comes from a reliable source from Darleen. It is imperative to get the word out so please make sure to let everyone who may need this number know. Thanks!
State OES has learned that trapped victims on the Gulf Coast are calling family, friends, loved-ones, or anyone they can get a call out to in California asking for someone to rescue them. These requests need to go immediately to the US Coast Guard’s Rescue Line at 800-323-7233 and immediate assistance will be sent.
Please distribute this information as widely as possible.

I have a boat, and a jetski sitting in my driveway. On dry land, but a thousand miles away.
You all know where to go and what do to, you don’t need me to urge you to send whatever you can.
Good news:
Zeke is okay. A little stirred, but not shaken.
Beth might call us later tonight, if there’s anything new, I’ll let you know.
If anyone knows of any good works that aren’t getting publicity that really need to, leave a comment, or email me at vinceautmorire AT gmail DOT com.
I can get the word out, not only here, but on five other blogs.
Speaking of getting words out, I’m not the only person with keys to post here. I don’t think anyone needs a gold plated invitation to step in during Beth’s absence. Not only that, but ya’ll could help me out by pushing those “still unpacking her shoes” things farther down the page….hehehehehe
One last trivial thing. Until Beth comes back, I’d like everyone to know that I AM NOT BETH!!!!
Okay, my wife and I just got off the phone with Beth, and despite Ms. Anonymous Tammy, who is anonymous and doesn’t wish to be named, it’s worse than I originally thought.
Beth is in full blown Blog Withdrawal. She interrupted our conversation several times by yelling at the t.v. Every so often, she would cover the mouthpiece with her hand and tell her daughter “hush honey, can’t you see I’m on the phone with www.vinceautmorire.com and www.merrimusings.typepad.com?”
I told her about a post I had seen, and she asked me to send her the link. After I explained that I couldn’t, we were on a phone call, she had me spell the link out anyway.
In the background, we heard her daughter ask her to draw a picture. Beth told her she would download one as soon as she was off the phone.
We also heard the first signs of Ebay Denied Syndrome, as Beth repeatedly complained that she was not allowed to bid on the pay-per-view movie channels on the hotel cable system.
Please send your prayers as we comfort Beth in her time of toil and trouble.
And yes, I know what you’re going to ask next.
She’s STILL unpacking shoes.
Ok, Ms. Anonymous is coming out of her closet to let everyone know that she has personally talked to Beth, who is safe and sound with our Jr. Cotillion Princess in Birmingham. Beth’s parents have been by her house, where all is well, if missing a few shingles and a shutter or two. All is well with her, but as there is no power in her area, she shall be staying safely tucked away for the time being. I’ll give more updates as they become available!

Beth is reportedly in good shape in the bunker, although my confidential, highly placed anonymous sources, who also wish to remain nameless, tells me that she may be showing the first symptoms of Blog Withdrawal. Normally an innocuous disorder, which usually goes away after a couple of days on it’s own, it can nonetheless lead to more serious conditions, such as Ebay Denied Syndrome and Meme And Quiz Lack Of Participation Disorder.
Oh, and she’s still unpacking her shoes.
Just wanted to let everyone know that Beth has made it to her underground bunker in the Undisclosed Location.
She is reportedly safe and busy unpacking her shoe collection.
Well, I’ve been told I’m stubborn, but I’m not stupid. See ya in a few days…assuming the power is on when I get back!
Yes, I’m pissed. I really didn’t want to have to go through this shi’ite again. :sigh:
If you’re in Mississippi or Louisiana in the path of Katrina, GET THE HELL OUTTA THERE. And good luck to y’all… xoxoxo!

WTF #1: I’ve been watching hurricane stuff on the Weather Channel and Fox News, and JUST NOW realized what time it is because I switched over to FNC and that godawful Fox & Friends is on. Can’t. Stop. Watching. TV.
WTF #2: FNC just had some guy on the phone in New Orleans who is staying and sounds as cool as a cucumber. I want whatever drugs that guy is on, because I’m two hours away from N.O. and I’m starting to think I need to get the hell out of town. What on earth is that guy or anyone else in that town thinking?! Are people farkin’ stupid or what? He wants to stay because he wants to see what happens to his house? I swear, it takes all kinds…
WTF#3: Or should I say WTF 5, because it’s damn near Category 5 strength now. OK, WTF.
OK, this makes me feel better:
Tonight: Occasional showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1am. Low around 77. Windy, with a east wind between 25 and 35 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Monday: Occasional showers and thunderstorms. High near 87. Windy, with a east wind between 35 and 40 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low near 77. Windy, with a south wind between 20 and 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
I need to turn off the damn TV and quit thinking about New Orleans. And pray that people get out of there.

There are no words that can accurately express what a hateful bitch this woman is:
How can these moms who still support George Bush and his insane war in Iraq want more innocent blood shed just because their sons or daughters have been killed? I don’t understand it. I don’t understand how any mother could want another mother to feel the pain we feel. I am starting to lose a little compassion for them. I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America, but they know the pain and heartache and they should not wish it on another. However, I still feel their pain so acutely and pray for these “continue the murder and mayhem” moms to see the light.
This, from the woman who calls the terrorists “freedom fighters.”
This, from the woman who doesn’t want her son called a hero.
This, from the woman who wished she hadn’t allowed her son his earned and honorable military funeral.
She’s lost compassion? I don’t see where she ever had any to begin with, except for those who agree with her. Is it any wonder why so many of us have lost compassion for HER?
Is it any wonder she isn’t getting a second meeting with the President? I know I’m not the only one who can picture her strapping on a splodeydope vest…
[H/T to Darleen, who's as pissed as I am--and has a picture of a new doll for the moonbats' kids.]
I guess I SHOULD make a big huge deal about the hurricane so it will STAY THE HELL AWAY from here, huh? I’m not really all that concerned though, except for the fact that my yard is already seriously saturated–I can’t even walk in the grass because it’s like quicksand. Which of course means that tons of rain with this damn storm makes trees falling over a possibility…again…
:sigh:
Sorry, New Orleans, it’s really going to suck if it goes there, but we’re pretty sick of these things over here in ‘Bama and Lower Alabama (sometimes referred to as the FL Panhandle). I do shudder at what might happen, though.
So anyway, if I’m not here on Monday, it’s because the damn power is out. (Please, God, NO!!!) Maybe someone will fill in for me if that happens? I hate this hurricane shi’ite.
It’s now (already) a Category 4.
Not motivated, don’t care today…I Suck, Therefore I Slack.
If you have something you’d like others to read, link to this post, and send a trackback. If you use Blogger or something else that doesn’t send trackbacks, use Kalsey’s Simpletracks form. Your link will show up below, in the post (and count toward your ecosystem stats, if you care).
As always, trackbacks without a link to this post in yours will be deleted! For more information about trackbacks, see Harvey’s primer on the subject.

Update:
* What’s wrong with y’all not linking to MacStansbury.com? The dude’s funny! Click that trackback and fix that fish shi’ite! (See? I DO read the open trackback links!)
* Oooooh…this could be FUN….
* SPC Noah Pincusoff’s mother, Soldier’s Mom, has updates with good news!
* More good news: Lots of people getting out to support the troops in counter-protests in Crawford and at Walter Reed AMC! See the accounts of the rallies (with photos) at NRO’s The Buzz for Crawford coverage, and the Gunn Nutt and Cam Edwards for Walter Reed coverage. Definitely also see Move America Forward for a lot of information and photos on the “You Don’t Speak For Me Cindy! Tour“!
That would be yesterday and today, actually.
Take about 500 email messages dripping with filth, snark and sharp wit, condense them, and you get this from the newly-anointed Cotillion Historian. Bitch.
Update: Heh.
Wow, I guess all this time, that talk about the eeeeevil baby-eating Zionists was just those mullahs jokin’ around and stuff. Learn something new every day, huh?
It’s the hypocrisy!!! Of Booooosh!!!
“If Israel’s nuclear arsenal features in the Iranian debate,” Ray says, “it is mainly in the context of international and American hypocrisy in perennially criticizing Iran’s nuclear efforts yet maintaining a curious silence on Israel’s atomic bombs.”
Yes, of course. Iran (Persia, Arabia, etc.) always loved their Jewish brothers, but then Big Bad America decided Israel was a friend, so now all that brotherly love is GONE. Poof! Just like a nuke!
You know the drill…read it all.
