Debunking the anti-Rove blogswarm

Obviously, all the PHONY ranting on the left about Karl Rove is total bullshi’ite. Baldilocks and Blackfive (among others) have noted the PHONY blogswarm surrounding Rove’s honest assessment of the left’s “Blame America, coddle the terrorists” mentality. The Astute Blogger has a nice bit of evidence in that regard.

It’s just like the lefty blogs to do that. Keep repeating it until it becomes reality–after all, that’s what the mainstream media and their political leaders do. Keep talking about the QUAGMIRE until everyone thinks that’s the reality–and as a result, create that reality. They don’t care if it causes the loss of American lives, they relish it because then they can say Bush=Idiot.

What Rove said is absoutely on target, and if they can’t accept the truth, then maybe they should reconsider their own beliefs if having them pointed out is so hurtful to them. They see nothing wrong with comparing Gitmo with Nazis/Pol Pot/gulags, but should anyone DARE to say they want to coddle the terrorists by questioning how WE were responsible for 9/11, and all hell breaks loose. THEY KNOW how phony their whining is, and if they don’t, they’re just plain stupid.

Instapundit says maybe it was all intended by Rove to draw out all the anti-American liberal rhetoric. I’m not sure that he really thinks it was intentional, but really, could you have expected any other reaction? There are so many examples (WILLisms has a collection) of anti-American leftist drivel it’s impossible to even bother trying to link to it all. And really, why bother? Show me a lefty that proudly says “AMERICA FIRST” or something similar. You can’t, because “America first” or “America is the greatest nation in history” is verbal poison to them. We–those who believe that–are Nazis, fascists, evil, stupid, whatever, to them. They think they’re the true patriots because they dissent. They think they’re “supporting the troops” by opposing the war–nevermind what the troops themselves say, they’re just ignorant Bible-thumping working class fools “forced” into the military because Bush either brainwashed them or ruined the economy so they had no choice. It’s inconceivable to them that anyone could REALLY support the war against Islamofascism.

So tell me, Howard Dean says “I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for,” and precious few on the left utter a word of disapproval. OK, fine. I hate the Democrats and everything they stand for. Also the independents on the left. But watch, I’ll be a “fascist” for saying so.

Baldilocks said it all right here: “Soldiers get their lives endangered but no one is supposed to say jack. Liberals get their feelings hurt and scream bloody murder. It’s enough to make you a bit cynical.”
“Cynical” might just be the Understatement of the Century.

Update:
Annika has more on the asinine left’s trashing of an Australian former hostage. Un-farking-believable.

Good thing the blogger’s block is gone.

Couldn’t agree with you more, Beth. I, too, am fearful that the reality creation machine of the “reality-based” community may succeed, if only in small measure–but when that measure is American lives, even a small measure is unacceptable and cause for prosecution on charges of treason (with summary execution as the sentence) against the lib scum.

I am Jami, a genuine retard who can’t read. I think Beth should enlist (”enlist or shut up”) even though she’s a disabled veteran and cannot enlist, which is easy enough to find out with even the most minimal amount of reading ability. I hate amerikkka and I even use terrorist news sources that make Al Jazeera look as American as apple pie at my shi’itety blog, but I’m too afraid to strap on some explosives and move to Iraq to hang out with my friends like Zarqawi.

No, no one will call you a fascist, because no one cares what you think. You’re just another person doing for free (I think) what there is already a fairly elaborate and well funded media apparatus to do: lie to these people some more.
I’d even give you some credit if I felt like you came by this opinion honestly, but darlin’, they just lie to you every day, and you buy it. I can’t feel sorry for you, any more than I feel sorry for someone who wanders out into traffic without looking.
And using the word ‘obviously’ in the first sentence of a posting does not make it either true or obvious, by the way, except to dupes of the conspiracy like you and the other people here in the echo chamber.

Interesting how you Republicans support anything that puppetmaster Karl the Hut says, no matter how wrong. Politicising the 911 tragedy is sick. The victims’ families rightfully issued a statement warning both parties not to assume authority on the issue. But again and again we see chickenhawks like you talking about 911 as if 50% of the victims didn’t have political views that are polar opposite to the ones you spew. And stop using our flag like a flipping cheap logo that you think you can slap on anything you want. You denigrate it.

I am sorry, but Roves comments are unconscionable. You (and I say you in the collective sense) want to say I want to raise taxes - true. Our deficit is going to hurt us big time and giving a huge tax break to us corporate lawyers isn’t gonna help.

You want to say I like government regulation - true. But apparently less than the current Republican government.

But, you want to say that because I am a liberal that I coddle terrorists and care more about them than those Americans who died on 9/11 - You want to say that I wanted give Bin Laden a big hug rather than a big hole in his head as I walked by the WTC site every day. Well, I say, say that to my face and I’ll show you what kind of pacifist I am.

Roves comments were wrong and there is no way around it.

    Jeff H says:

Hey, dingo-berry: Rove was on-the-money. Mere weeks after 9/11, NYT started running anti-war shi’ite. Hear any of your Dem-wits condemning “the newspaper of record” for that?

And you obviously weren’t alive and working in the ’80s if you think raising taxes ultimately leads to increased tax revenue. It’s called “stimulating the economy” and only Marxists believe it doesn’t work (see: “Union, Soviet Socialist Republic of” for further reference).

Got back to your guano-filled cave, you moonbat.

  19. Gravatar
    dingo says:

Well, smooches to you too Jeff, but you are wrong.

I think you need to do some real economic study before commenting on what does and does not stimulate an economy. The only economic stimulus that occurs with cutting taxes is for the middle and lower middle classes (I have no problems with these tax cuts). There has never been an economic stimulus with the cutting of taxes for the wealthy. This is broken down into two sub sets.

    1) There is no additional general consumption for this group. The things that people purchase that stimulate and economy (durable goods and other necessities) are not increased since there is diminishing utility for these products. Surplus is instead diverted to investments (I’ll get to this later). This is the whole reason trickle down economics has been debunked for the past 15 years.

    2) Reduction of tax revenue diminishes the governments purchase power. The US government is this countries single largest buyer and employer. Like it or not, the government is a huge driving force in the economy.

Now let me get to the surplus allocated to investments. If the surplus was diverted into venture capitalism or direct loans to business, then yes, tax cuts help. But, the vast majority of investments are diverted to the stock market. When you buy stock, you are not creating wealth, you are transferring it. The corporation that you buy stock in (once the stock is issues) gains no benefit for the sale and purchase of the stock. The only benefit that is derived is the fact there is a stable market. But, with too much influx of cash into the market, you can actually create instability (as seen in the Dot Com crash) because you drive the price of the stock above a viable P/E ratio. When this happens, you get an inevitable correction, people lose confidence and money which slows the economy, not spur it.

The thing that really stimulates the economy is the constriction and expansion of the money supply through interest rates, not tax cuts to the wealthy. Additionally, the huge deficits can lead to soaring inflation which hurts you more that the tax cut helps. Yes, I might have an extra $50 in my pay check, but my entire pay check is only worth 75% of what it was 3 years ago.

Now, to pre-empt any of the nutty arguments that people are discouraged from working harder because of higher taxes, please skip it. If you really change they number of hours you work because the government takes 30 cents of every dollar instead of 25 cents, well, maybe you and I just have a difference in work ethic. 60 or 70 cents, you have an arguement, but that is just not the case.

You can call me whatever you want… moonbat, pinko-commie-bastard, etc… but at least bring something to the table to argue with. Otherwise you just look like a fool.
