Killing Him Softly With Fisking

The Daily Kos saw fit to post on The Dick. I saw fit to kick his pussy ass:
TalkLeft first alerted us to the latest cause célèbre of the Right Wing Media Borg — the effort to defend torture at all costs. And caught in the crosshairs is Sen. Durbin, who had the unmitigated gall to call it like it is:
To the pea brains on the Right, incapable of reading the English language in its most basic, unuanced form, they claim Durbin is calling our troops Nazis. The Wingnutosphere is making that claim. Rush is making that claim. Hannity is making that claim. Drudge is making that claim. Look to Fox News to jump on the bandwagon tomorrow.
First off, even if we on the right had pea brains, that would still give us far more average brain power than any farktard leftist like you. So who was The Dick comparing our troops to, the Vienna Boys Choir?
Of course, what Durbin is saying is that such torture — undisputed, by the way, and read from an FBI report — is more at home in a place like Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany than in a modern Democracy.
It’s not torture in the first place, that’s why it’s undisputed and being read from an FBI report. And we don’t live in a democracy, we live in a Representative Republic, dunce.
And that’s the truth. Plain and simple.
You wouldn’t know the truth if it bit you in your pink frilly undergarments.
Remember when torture was bad? And getting rid of it was good? President Bush, Oct. 8 2003:
"Iraq is free of rape rooms and torture chambers."Scott McClellan, Dec. 10, 2003:
"There was an announcement by the Iraqi Governing Council earlier this week about the tribunal that they have set up to hold accountable members of the former regime who were responsible for three decades of brutality and atrocities. … We know about the mass graves and the rape rooms and the torture chambers of Saddam Hussein’s regime. … We welcome their decision to move forward on a tribunal to hold people accountable for those atrocities."President Bush, Jan. 12, 2004:
"One thing is for certain: There won’t be any more mass graves and torture rooms and rape rooms."And let’s not forget, "torture" was used as a rationale for this war — as in, we’ll invade and end the torture.
Yeah, and the torture in Iraq ended. What a farking idiot you are. In case you didn’t notice, dipshi’ite, the prisoners at Gitmo AREN’T FROM IRAQ. The prisoners that you claim are being tortured are Al Qaeda who were caught in Afghanistan and Pakistan, you numb-minded assmonkey.
Of course, none of that has happened. The torture that was so bad under Saddam, is equally bad under U.S. command. And Dick Durbin had the balls to say it so on the Senate floor.
The Dick has no balls, and given that he gave that little blurb to a mostly empty Senate chamber at the end of the day proves it. It’s a wonder that it even got noticed at all. You want torture, Kos? Look at the Religion of Peace Picture Page. Go look at Rusty’s post on this subject too. You pathetic meat sack.
And these cowards — these people who will neither serve the cause they claim is so vital, nor urge others to serve it — now rush to defend behavior that is indefensible?
Did The Dick serve, Kos? Did 99.9% of your syncophantic MooreOns serve, Kos? Who the fark are you talking about? Me? I served. I love this new Asshat meme. "Why don’t you go if you’re under 40, why don’t you send your kid over there." From people too chicken to serve ice cream at Baskin Robbins. It’s an all volunteer military, Kos, in a nation of close to 300 million people. We can kick Islamofascist ass and yours too all at the same time. And I would daresay that people like Rush and Hannity and Drudge are serving their country by rebutting the vomit that spews from shi’itestains like you.
I am tired of the phony bravery of these people, their cowardice shines through like a beacon. They condone abusing those in our custody but refuse to serve this country in combat, as they wish others would do.But the larger point is this: America is supposed to have higher standards than the Nazis or Stalin, not embrace them or use them as a defense. There is no reason that we should have a gulag in the sun or be accused of torture. We should have jailed and tried these people legally. Not acted like the people we’re supposed to be fighting.
One day, Americans will be subjected to this and then what will these people say "it’s unfair"? Well, we tossed away our conscience and morals to achieve this end, and the result will be grim. But they won’t be the ones paying it. They will be hiding behind their keyboards like the cowards they are, whining, lying and rejoicing in the suffering of others and wishing to see evem more brutality, but only from a safe distance.
Who the fark is Steve Gilliard? Another one of your suckup rodgobbling friends? Did Steve serve? He doesn’t say on his little piece of Blogsnot. Has your fairy nice friend Steve noticed that this is a WAR? These people aren’t farking SHOPLIFTERS.
Apparently, the Republicans who dominate the party today, on the radio, online, and in the halls of Congress, think that the only good American is a Stalinist, a Nazi, a fascist, or any other brand of totalitarian thug who beats the crap out of innocents because he can, because we’re Amurrikans, God damn it, and if we want to throw you in jail for an eternity, with no lawyer and no charges, and torture you until your head explodes and you go absolutely insane, that’s our right because, well, because FARK YOU.That’s the thinking and the mantra of today’s brand of Republicans who run the party and run the right-wing noise machine. The law is irrelevant, the norms of humanity are irrelevant. With God on our side - well, the Baptist fundamentalist God on our side, thank you - they can do no wrong.
Another nose up the KosAss. That’s just lovely, terrorists are now innocents. Oh, sorry, Mr. Khalid Sheik Mohammed, you’ve violated no laws in our country. Here, head on home and consider this a warning. Stay straight, son. Oh, I did notice this dimwit’s sidebar. 90% of it are Jeff Gannon links. A serious blogger, he is.
If you consider torture legal and acceptable (even if innocent people are tortured), then Dear Leader’s main post-hoc justification of the Iraq invasion it itself illegal, because Saddam Hussein would have been doing something that was legal (in your eyes - for he was only torturing "his enemies"). So, if you have a problem with torture being highlighted and publicized, then maybe it’s time for you to become Saddam Hussein’s lawyer. That is a more appropriate role for those who seek to condone, ignore, minimize or support torture.
And more people will chime in.
And bore us to death. That’s what this is, a fiendish attempt to bore Conservatives to death. Genocide By Boredom, it should be in the Geneva Accords.
Really, what is the Right trying to accomplish here? Inflict so much pain on Durbin that others will think twice before they levy legitimate criticisms of the war? Are they so hell-bent on their political correctness that any criticisms of the war effort is considered treasonous?
What war effort, Kos? According to you and your laplicking friends you quote on this post, these prisoners are innocent people being tortured for no good reason, just like the Nazis, Soviets, and Khmer Rouge did. Isn’t it interesting how you just shredded the inanities babbled in your friends’ posts? So which is it, Kos? A war, or a law enforcement issue? Can’t you bleating leftards make up your minds?
Last time I checked, the American people were giving up on Bush’s folly. Last time I checked, most people still think torture is wrong, worthy of condemnation. Last time I checked, the War Pundits, War Politicians, War Preachers, and 101st Fighting Keyboarders still refused to personally sacrifice for the war effort. Last time I checked, that sad lot still refused to call their own supporters to sacrifice for the war effort.
Last time I checked, you were an idiot. Last time I checked, you weren’t calling on your Anti-War Pundits, Anti-War Politicians, Anti-War Preachers, and Den 10 of the Anti-War Cub Scouts to personally sacrifice for the war effort. Although you sure are trying to undermine it. You and your minions sure are giving aid and comfort to the enemy criminals, and that, my dear King Moonbat, is Treason.
At a time when REAL support for the troops means providing them with the equipment and manpower necessary to fight the war effectively, they agitate for neither.
Why, yes we do Kos. I could devote my whole blog to one big link dump pointing to those that are working towards that end. Funny, though, every time we try to get defense spending increased, people like The Dick throw up roadblocks to the legislation. Look in the mirror, asswart.
Instead, they try to shut down a US senator reading from an FBI report. From Bush’s FBI. Because the truth hurts. So we must supress it. And we’ll do it by shedding crocodile tears for the troops. Because who gives a shi’ite about them, so long as our heroic, do-no-wrong President looks good on the evening news.
Wrong again, Kos. We’re trying to shut down The Dick because he put our troops in harm’s way even more by emboldening the enemy to fight even harder. Face it, Kos, you people drool so bad over every U.S. military death I’m surprised they don’t have flood watches out for Berkeley. I guess you don’t watch the evening news, either, because they’ve devoted themselves to making President Bush look like an ass.
Well, I stand with Durbin. Proudly. Because opposing torture is the Right Thing, despite violating the wingnut manual of political correct speech. And the rest of the Senate Democratic caucus better be standing with him as well.
You stand with The Dick, Kos, because you’re both standing on the deck of a sinking ship. And we’re standing on the deck of an aircraft carrier a hundred yards away, waving atcha.
You are either for torture, or against it. Let the chips fall where they may.
We’re against it Kos. Sadly, your opposition to the war in Iraq showed clearly that you are for it. Your silence on Iran is deafening as well. What about Yemen, care to comment on their prisons? The chips HAVE fallen, Kos, you pro-torture, pro-genocide, anti-war activist you.

Durbin and his ilk are giving, if not material aid, then comfort to the enemies of Iraq and America. Worse than fifth columnists they are. Pompous windbags.

Thanks Makrothumeo.
Now if I could just get this wig right, and the falsies to work, I may end up being mistaken for Beth in the real world, too.

THERE it is! That makes the entire point for the right. They’re saying (regarding Abu Grahib) that underwear on the head or a dog collar is equal to tongues cut out, electric shock to the nuts, having your wife raped or children killed in front of you, or, that old favorite, just being killed outright. Maybe we do a few things worse than underwear on the head, but there is no possible way it’s even close to what Saddam and his sonny boys did.
The worst thing we’ve got at Gitmo is making some guy really cold. Torchure? Pressure… yeah. Discomfort… yeah. But you only say it rises to the level of torchure if: A) You forget who this guy is… he’s not someone picked up on a traffic stop for a burned out tail light, he’s Al Queda and it’s very likely he’d love to shoot your kid in the school playground or behead you… preferrably on TV your kids can watch. B) You want to make your country look bad. Be honest… there is SOME degree of discomfort we have to be able to apply to get information. We don’t do outright torchure, because anyone who’s studied it will tell you, it doesn’t work. You torchure when you want to control the REST of the population (ask Saddam, he’ll tell you) NOT when you want to get good intel.
I don’t know that Durbin meant to say that our military = Nazis. But, he continued to feed the frenzy that, on the other hand, he’s complaining about. Screaming, “We’re mistreating Muslims” every chance you get, then complaining that it’s damaging us in the eyes of the world is like screaming “Fire” in a crowded theater and then bitching that the aisles are crowded. Actually, in Durbin’s case, it’s like standing outside your door yelling, “I’m an ASSHOLE” and then wondering why the whole neighborhood has the opinion that you’re an asshole.
