When those Marines return in 2010, the year it is scheduled to open, no doubt they will expect to see the artifacts that bring those memories to life. They’ll want a vantage point that allows them to take in the sheer scope of the destruction, to see the footage and the photographs and hear the personal stories of unbearable heartbreak and unimaginable courage. They will want the memorial to take them back to who they were on that brutal September morning.

It’s unbearable that 9/11 has been hijacked again. I am a black women and as bad a jim crow was to my people, he didnt fly a plain into a building that represents America to all Americans. Beth, i stunmbeld on this on Michelle Malkin’s site, and i have to say that it infuriates me beyoned belief that such a thing is taking place and i am egyptian. This is bullshi’ite. The fact that this IFC is bigger then the actual memorial infuriates me, and the reality that the people who are behind it are people who equate Abu Gharib pictures with 9/11 just pisses me off even more. It boggles my mind to think about what kind of America these people want, and how they are so eager to tolerate intolerance.
This is an abomination and it should not be allowed to come to pass. I say keep the memorial, and isntead of that IFC crap, they should rebuild the 2 towers, only this time make it even bigger and taller. That’s the way to show those jihady fuckheads that what they did was utterly stupid and futile. That’s just my opinion and i could be wrong!
