OPEN TRACKBACK POST
Because I have plans for Sunday until later in the afternoon, here’s another open trackback post!
But FIRST:
If there is no LINK TO THIS POST, the trackback will be deleted, no exceptions. See this for further information (opens in a new window). Forget it, here’s what it says (from my comment/trackback policy page):
I really do love seeing trackbacks and I encourage you to use them–I like to see what you’re writing about and I can’t read EVERY site on my blogroll every day.
That said, if you leave a trackback on my site, there had better be a link to my post in yours. I do not allow “free advertising” (which is what trackbacks really are, in case you didn’t realize it) or free link whoring–call me crazy but I do expect something in return–that being a link back. I’ll delete one-way trackbacks without warning, and “I didn’t know” isn’t really a good excuse. Sometimes, if I’m feeling energetic or generous, I’ll email you or leave a comment at your site to remind you, if you just forgot or whatever. Usually I’m just too lazy, though.
If you know how to send a trackback, you should know what they’re for. Many blogs don’t allow them because they get abused–don’t be an abuser!
Harvey (Bad Example) has a good primer on trackbacks, for those of you who aren’t familiar with the practice. Do go read it; trackbacks are a very good way for your blog to be noticed by others.

Now, your assignment: learn something new today. Go learn about Canadian politics from Kate of small dead animals, who informs us Yanks that:
Parti Quebecois Leader Bernard Landry made the surprise announcement he would step down as leader and leave politics…
In other words, a secessionist secedes? OK, pathetic remarks from me, as usual. You know what struck me upon reading about this at first? The number of times different men were described as “tearful”. Good God, I’ve got a lot of reading to do.
Just go and learn something about Canada from one of the right people (as opposed to the CBC).
(By the way, we have two of those right-thinking Canadians in the Cotillion–sda and Girl on the Right. Go on, get smart.)

Growing up on the Canadian Border when I was a kid in Upstate NY, I gotta say the Canadian chicks warm my heart. Especially when we’d hit Montreal for our 18th birthdays!
For the uninformed:
–it is legal drinking age up there therefore we’d celebrate Canadian style when we’d turn of age, plus the cutie canadian snowbirds digged our American accents–
Ahh the days of ‘voulez-vouz couchez avec moi ce soir?’
Oh, but am I glad I didn’t have my premie kids born in Britain! (what’a seg-way eh?)
Hey, forgive me, it’s my first trackback experience… Figgured Beth be good for a firsty! Sure I could learn a lot from her experience! *wink*
Keep up the good work hon!
