Mae Magouirk is out of hospice and has been transferred to the University of Alabama - Birmingham Medical Center.
Just received telephone call (3:00 PM ET) from Ken Mullinax, nephew of Mae.
Terri saves another life!

THANKS TO THE SUPPORT OF ALL OF THE FRIENDS OF TERRI, MY AUNT MAE MAGOUIRK HAS BEEN AIR LIFTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA-BIRMINGHAM MEDICAL CENTER… and receiving IV fluids, nourishment and some of the finest medical care available in the United States!

Update: The comment about it not being over yet came from Ken over the telephone, as he was rushing to see Mae. He said he’d elaborate more as soon as he had the chance. That is all we have at the moment.

There are some skeptics about the whole story, but for the life of me I don’t get why some are so anxious to debunk it. Maybe because the idea of this granddaughter wanting to kill off Granny because she’s old and sick is so outrageous? Too difficult to fathom? Whatever it is, I’m watching to see what becomes of it all.
More important though, is that we remember how cheap life has become, where it’s considered acceptable to so many to just extinguish life once it gets to the point where they “wouldn’t want to live like that.” I ask again, at what point do you decide you “wouldn’t want to live like that,” and do we kill off all of those who fall outside that theoretical line? More on putting down the sick and disabled like sick stray animals here and here.
A personal note to those who claim to know that they would not “want to live like that”: how DARE you. Bigots. (I’ll avoid Godwin’s law here and leave it at that.)
