- The Emperor at the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler gives atheists a well-deserved ass-whippin’ for screeching "THEOCRAT!!!" every time the word (warning: un-PC word follows) GOD is uttered or implied in public. It IS gettting pretty tiresome hearing that truly Idiotarian nonsense.
- Ace of Spades wraps up President Bush’s press conference, and talks about the Bush plans for Social Security reform and gas prices. As usual, the critics never offer any alternatives, just complaints. He then rightfully takes people to task for crying about cutting spending after they’ve been crying about too much spending.
- basil (not "Basil") meets Evil Glenn Reynolds at Blog Nashville and gives us the scoop. "HEH."
- BLACKFIVE introduces us to Army Specialist Matt Braddock and Soldiers’ Angel Willie Aumfkolk as part of his ongoing Someone You Should Know series. After you read it, please go check out the Soldiers’ Angels website and consider helping out with a donation or by "adopting" a soldier or platoon!
- Arthur Chrenkoff, who regularly brings us Good News From Iraq, congratulates Iraqis as Iraq’s National Assembly has approved the country’s first democratically elected government, AND he gets published in an Iraqi newspaper! Congratulations to Arthur Chrenkoff!
- The Cranky Neocon spreads a crappy meme.
- Steve at Hog on Ice continues to torment the Nigerian spammers. If you get spammed (don’t we all?)–and even if you don’t (ehh, it must be nice) you will LOVE his Good Morning, Nigeria! series.
- Spacemonkey announces the Inaugural Edition of the Carnival of Comedy at IMAO! Yay Spacemonkey!
- Do you know who Roy Hallums is? He’s an American contractor who was taken hostage in Iraq in November. Rusty Shackelford from The Jawa Report has been on top of the story since the beginning, and was the first to report on him. He’s been in contact with Roy Hallums’ family since the beginning, and has an exclusive four-part interview with Mr. Hallums’ ex-wife and his daughter. This is a definite must-read! See: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4.
- Headmistress SondraK asks you to "complete this sentence". heeheehee
- Michele Agnew is coming up with a new comment game based on blogrolls, but she’s not ready with it yet so in the meantime, she’ll be doing the Weekend Meet & Greet comment game! (Did you play the Meet & Greet here yet?)
- Michelle Malkin has an update on Laura Ingraham, who had surgery on Tuesday after being diagnosed with breast cancer last Friday. She got good news!
- Sigmund, Carl, and Alfred ask, "Where did feminism go wrong?" in a thought-provoking post (as usual!), where he adds a few more therapeutic thoughts to some ideas he had.
- Jody at Steal the Bandwagon finally kills a crappy meme! (My phrase of the week: Blogroll Jody, or else!)
- Eric at Vince Aut Morire tells an anti-Social Security-reform partisan hack why his weak attempt at spewing party line bullshi’ite is…well, bullshi’ite.
- And last but not least, Preston at Six Meat Buffet has another link dump for ya, when you’re finished with this one!
Blogads are up!

Hey, I have a few new ones to put in the gallery; I know those of you who have submitted pictures in the last couple of days are probably getting impatient, but I WILL be posting them later tonight on Sunday. I’ve just been extremely lazy lately. My apologies to those of you waiting, please bear with me!
UPDATE, 5/1/05: I’m caught up, finally!
FIRST BLOGIVERSARY
today!
May you have many more years of pissing off moonbats around the globe, and many more years of making your friends laugh with you!
Now go see the Exclusive Blogiversary Interview with Eric and give him your best wishes!
I promised I wouldn’t do this, but…I lied. Here’s a picture I got from Merri, of Eric blogging:
Has anyone else noticed how good this blog has been lately? I am dazzled!
Now, a question: it’s lonely around here; do I smell funny or something?
FINE. Go visit basil’s blog and thebandwagon and Vince Aut Morire. No link here, go through the Blogad link.
Screw you guys, I’m going to play a comment game.

Just sayin’.
HEY! Wake the fark up, y’all! I didn’t mean I wanted to hear my OWN echo!
The Border Guardians:
We are a group of American citizens who believe that defending America’s sovereignty is the most important issue in the illegal immigration problem. For too many decades, American citizens have been subjected to a relentless psy-ops (psychological operations) and propaganda war by the left-wing advocates of illegal immigration. Some of these groups include the governments of Mexico and the United States, La Raza, ACLU, Border Action Network, MALDEF, Derechos Humanos, and No More Deaths.
Yes, they have a website (format is kinda messy; scroll down to see the text). Find out how you can help them, even if you’re not able to go to the border!

YESSS!
Ready to send some email?

Welcome to the My Echo Chamber Edition of Round the Reader!
Yes, it’s self-indulgent, but hey, I’m a blogger–aren’t we all to some extent? ;-) So, on with it!

[UPDATE: Late dinner at basil's blog, because I'm stuck in the Beltway Traffic Jam!]
Go on, advertise your blog or your stuff for sale right over there at the beginning of the sidebar! It’s CHEAP, for now!
UPDATE: You can also advertise on individual posts, in the comments area.
Go visit my advertisers! Two of my favorite bloggers (really!) have already taken me up on the offer, make it worth their while.
By the way, I’m also looking into site redesign so I’ll have a left AND right sidebar, to make everything more organized and allow the ads to have better placement.
Hey, I’m guest-blogging over at Crystal Clear, and you probably noticed that Eric has put up a few posts here today. Yes, I’m lazy, I know.
I actually DID put up a post over there just now, so go on over and have a look around the place! Please? And blogroll her, dammit!
Cao tagged me with this:
The rules are simple: write a poem with “turd in a punchbowl” in the first and third lines, that pass it on to 3 unsuspecting bloggers.
Hey, I didn’t make the rules.
turd in a punchbowl
watching it roll
turd in a punchbowl
good for the soul
God, this has got to be the worst viral meme ever. hahaha
I SO do not want to pass this one on, but Eric, because he has a potty mouth, and Merri get it next, because it will make a fine complement to her white trash recipes. Besides, if I have to suffer, they do too.
And I guess I’ll fling this poo at Jody too, because she’s the only other weirdo (besides me) who loves this blog. (Sorry, Jody.)
Wait, scratch that. Jody, you don’t have to do this one if you don’t want (if I know you, you’ll relish this as much as I did–not). I’m passing this meme on to Glenn Reynolds, because I’m pretty sure it’ll mean there’s one less person spreading it around.
Dr. Rusty Shackleford has posted the second part of his interview with Carrie Hallums, daughter of American hostage in Iraq Roy Hallums.
Go read it.
And pray for Roy and his family.
If you had been the person to pull Saddam out of his hidey hole, what would you have done? Why, this of course:
"I was so angry," says Samir, who immigrated to St. Louis eleven years ago after fleeing Iraq. "I began cussing at him, calling him a motherfarker, a son-of-a-bitch — you name it. I told him I was Shiite from the south and was part of the revolution against him in 1991. I said he murdered my uncles and cousins. He imprisoned my father.
"All these years of anger, I couldn’t stop. I tried to say the worst things I could. I told him if he were a real man he would have killed himself. I asked him: ‘Why are you living in that dirty little hole, you bastard? You are a rat. Your father is a rat.’"
In Arabic, Saddam told Samir to shut up. And when Saddam called him a traitor, an enraged Samir silenced his prisoner with a flurry of quick jabs to the face.
"I punched Saddam in the mouth."
Before the legion of ninnys rolls out the "torture!!!" wagon, they should read the entire article. Samir was a part of the 1991 Shiite uprising, fled the country, and lived in a wretched refugee camp for 2 years before finally making it to the U.S.
Saddam, you got off lucky, bitch. You should be grateful all you got was a bloody lip.

Ok, I know I’ve been a little lazy and self-indulgent around here in the last couple of days. I’m feeling like shi’ite but I’ll snap out of it after about 100 more hours of sleep.
So anyway, plugins. I’ve been looking around the Wordpress Plugin Competition Blog because basically I’m one of those people who is constantly tweaking my blog. Go check it out, there’s some good stuff there! Here’s a couple of FUN ones for those of us who like eye candy:
Wordpress Guestblock plugin — go see a guestblock in action here. It’s kind of like a guestbook, only MUCH kooler.
Avatar plugin – this one pops up an avatar/gravatar associated with a person in the actual content of a blog post. (Not to be confused with the comment gravatars.) See this one here. (Unfortunately, it won’t work with Internet Explorer.)
Some of you might be interested in patGal, a photo gallery plugin that looks pretty good.
And an update on the anti-spam plugin, Bad Behavior: I deactivated it after a day of testing but stay tuned here for progress on its development.
STUFF:
Apparently the product link for Allposters.com doesn’t display correctly in Firefox, but it does in IE. You can still use it in Firefox, it just kinda looks messy (which I can’t stand).
Question: When is someone going to develop a browser that doesn’t SUCK? One that everyone can use and renders all pages correctly? Please, no recommendations unless you know of one that REALLY does work with everything. I mean everything.
Ok, that’s about it for right now. Tomorrow I’ll be doing the Friday Round the Reader post, as well as guest blogging for Crystal Clear. I hope you’ll check her site out if you haven’t been there yet!
Start thinking of your Blogad ideas so when I get off my duff–well, figuratively speaking since I kind of need to be “on my duff” to do this–and implement Blogads on my site, you can have a great one ready for people to see and click! I might actually just do a site redesign with left and right sidebars so it’ll be a little better-organized (now that I’ve managed to clutter the sidebar again).
Want a link? Hit me with a trackback and give everyone else some more to read here. I’ve got shi’ite to take care of right now, so have at it.
(Note: non-linked “one-way” trackbacks will be deleted. You know the drill.)
Disclaimer: American Idol post follows…read at your own discretion.
OK, now that that’s out of the way. I’ve only seen one show, last week’s defecation elimination thing when that Anwar guy got the boot. I just read Michele’s Idol Tongues thing for the laughs, and I’ve seen clips from the show here and there.
But DAMN, I’ve completely dropped the ball on this. What a RICH source of White Trash Wednesday material! That baby mama-beatin’ scumbag Scott Savol? What the fark, anyway? How did I manage to not mine that fat ass for WTW material already?

For the record, I don’t give a rat’s ass about Constantine Constanteenybopper or the “FIXED!!!!” voting. I just want that Bo guy to win, ’cause he’s from Alabama and he’s a rocker. But really, does it even matter? Besides, that baby-mama-beater will probably “win” anyway.
Go on, click the links. This shi’ite is funny.
Well, I guess he IS a liberal in the classical sense. But NOT in the moonbatty sense at all.
Check out this truth-serum (alcohol) assisted rant from the Gun-Toting Liberal, who (thinks he) is on the left (maybe the Zell Miller “left”). Of course, I keep telling him he’s a Libertarian, but he can’t believe it. Either way, this is a classic:
What the hell have we become, a nation full of CANDY ASSES???
We can’t be INDIVIDUALS any longer… If I’m all for God, Family, borders and Country… BUT am also FOR the common man and his rights to HIS fair share of this “booty” we call America (that we’ve STOLEN as a “team” from the INDIANS, screw the “Native American” term – I’m sick of THAT one, too!), I’m a FREAKING SOCIALIST PIG to the right-wingers and because I’m not a CANDY ASSED APOLOGIST, I am shunned by the left as being a Zell Millar or Joe Lieberman “wannabe”…
You know something… I don’t give a CRAP. I am proud to have African, Anglo-Saxon, Hispanic, INDIAN (yes, “INDIAN” - Cherokee), and FRENCH (yes, FRENCH!) blood coursing through these veins… and I apologize for NONE of it! If you don’t want to link to me because I’m not CANDY ASSED enough for you, then FINE WITH ME. Shove your traffic up your butt SIDEWAYS.
Too bad there aren’t more “liberals” like him. Candy asses are the root of all the problems you can find in our great country.
