Don’t get me wrong I’m not senseless to Terri. my point is : water , at least bottle water IS artificial. The ACT of consuming water is natural, BUT the way Terri consumes water through a tube (instead of her lips) is more artificial than you can get.
As far as I know, she can’t “drink” without her artificial tube. Not that giving her water or food through the tube is “wrong”.

I’m concerned about our society, that so many people are justifying Terri’s murder based on nothing more than the fact that they think it must really suck being Terri Schiavo. People are becoming more drawn towards an ideal perfection, and disdain weakness and helplessness –and are now justifying eliminating the helpless and weak and calling it mercy and dignified. For heavens sake, anyone who thinks this is really dignified needs to put actions to their words: go without food and water for just 4 days and see how dignified and beautiful you feel!

You’re exactly right that it’s all because people think it must suck being Terri Schiavo.
Which makes me think…it must suck being other things too–dumb, ugly, blind, retarded, poor, depressed, illiterate, cleft-palated, orphaned, imprisoned, stupid, annoying, paranoid, a cancer or AIDS patient, French, Michael Moore…I could go on, of course. How about we starve all of them to death too?

But its far more “medically professional”.
You should know the differnece between wheelchair (push yourself) and stretcher (people carry you because you can’t move).
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with feeding a tube to somebody who cant open her mouth and swallow, but I just think it’s a bit too slippery slope/hasty generalization to say “feeding water is art, so water is art, and we all live art-ly”
using words games to make jokes doesn’t help caring for the person you’re fighting for.
