ACTION ALERT: FL Legislature, Part 2

ALERT: We spent ALL DAY Monday lobbying Governor Jeb Bush
and a dozen Florida legislators, trying to get those state
Senators to change their minds and vote FOR the new
legislation that could save Terri’s life once and for all.
We just need THREE state Senators to change their minds and
vote with us to save Terri Schiavo’s life. And we heard
rumors today that two of the people on our list of ten
targeted Senators are possibly going to do just that. They
may just need a “gentle nudge” to make up their minds.
We need EVERYONE READING THIS to call the following
Florida state Senators RIGHT AWAY, and ask them to do one
simple thing:
“HAVE MERCY ON TERRI SCHIAVO — PLEASE VOTE
TO SAVE TERRI’S LIFE TODAY.”
That’s all we’re asking you to do. Just call ten state
Senators — or as many as you can — and ask them to have
mercy on Terri.

Actually, there’s a lot to say. For inexplicable reasons Judges have determined, without any logic at all, the following:
A. Michael Schiavo is Teri Schiavo’s husband (Despite the fact that he’s been living with another woman for 10+ years and sired 2 children with her); therefore,
B. Michael Schiavo is Terri’s legal guardian (Despite the fact that anyone without an agenda can see the red flags concerning Michael Schiavo’s motives and actions); therefore

Remember: in your emails/calls, be courteous, while still making it clear that the senator’s actions will have consequences when next they are up for reelection.
Say something along the lines of “This is so important to me, that will be willing to reward those who take a stand in favor of Terri with my vote in the next election”.

Thank you Beth for that posting, and I have followed its instructions. I am posting the following at several sites:
This morning I awoke, exhausted still, not resting enough as I pray for Terri. I phoned the Florida State Senator offices requesting they change their vote on the bill for Terri’s life, and faxed a message to President Bush, requesting that he take Terri into protective custody if he could and thanking him for his heart and all that he has done to try to help and save her life. I thought about if there was anything else that I could do.
I thought of one more thing:
I phoned the US Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit in Atlanta at (404) 335-6100, and simply requested to leave a message for the Hon. J.L. Edmonson, the Chief Judge of the court. The woman at the other end was polite, courteous, even kind and asked me what message I would like her to relay. I just said that I would ask the Hon. Edmonson to please allow Terri’s feeding tube to be restored, while the appeals court considers the entire case concerning Terri. The woman I spoke with said thank you, and that she would pass my message on.
I thought that perhaps all of us might call and leave a similar message for the appeals court.
