CABLE connection problems now.   I’m using dial-up just to post this!
Please, no advice solicited. It’s not a farking operator error.   I am truly in Computer Hell.   The computer exorcist (aka The Cable Guy™) is coming in the morning.
Anyone want to donate to get me on a T1 line? Hit the Paypal or Amazon button on the sidebar and Save My Sanity. LOL
 F-you Bellsouth, F-you Comcast, F-you computer, F-you effing house, F-you Alabama Power.
Thatisall.
MANY THANKS to Crystal of Crystal Clear Reads for posting the ad on her site, and most of all to everyone who contributed to the cost of placing the ad!

Father Rob Johansen wrote an article for the January 2004 issue of Crisis magazine. It IS, in my opinion, the BEST and most comprehensive writing I’ve seen about the Terri Schiavo case, while also looking at the facts objectively:
Terri’s plight has evoked heated debate over fundamental moral, medical, and legal issues. Those in favor of removing Terri’s feeding tube have tried to frame the debate as a “right-to-die” case. Those fighting to save her argue that removing her feeding tube is tantamount to murder. But before one can weigh the moral and legal concerns, it is first necessary to understand Terri’s true condition, and the sad situation that brought things to where they are today.
You know the drill–READ IT ALL. (And no, you don’t have to be a Catholic to appreciate it; it’s not a sermon.)
Jody at thebandwagon has done a comprehensive directory of Terri-bloggers’ “Terri posts”. I can’t even imagine the amount of work she had to put into that–she’s already been busting her tail on this project! (I meant to link to this a long time ago, but my “blogging ADHD” took over again.)
THANK YOU, JODY!
Now y’all go visit her and leave her a comment saying hello!
Paris Hilton is “pretty upset” about her Sidekick being hacked. (Funny how this seems to happen to her rather than other celebrities–maybe she ought to think about WHY that is…)
A spokeswoman for Ms. Hilton, Gina Hoffman, said, “she feels terrible that her family, her friends, her business associates have been affected by this” - and added a deeply troubling thought: “It’s something that could happen to anyone.”
But it doesn’t happen to just “anyone.” Obnoxiousness invites a variety of problems. I wouldn’t hack her account, but I can see exactly why others might.
She was pretty upset about it,” someone told MSNBC. “It’s one thing to have people looking at your sex tapes, but having people reading your personal e-mails is a real invasion of privacy.”
Huh? People watching your “sex tapes” is NOT an invasion of privacy, but reading email IS?
WTF???
Pursuit of Happiness asks, “Why aren’t the Scorpions in jail?”
Good question. Sick bastards.
From The Museum of Bad Album Covers:
Hmmm. Not a bad idea. Have a link while you take a day of rest. (Nice Terri post, too.)
OK, now I’m really being superficial. F–kit, it’s the weekend and I have been far too serious lately for my own sanity.
In the last post I referred to Washingtonians’ tendency to frumpiness. Well, here’s more proof via WaPo of their inattention to fashion trends:
I see by the papers that the strange, voluminous bag of a garment known as the trench coat is back.
(Slow news day? I digress…)
Duh! Trench coats are soooo…what, 2003? I mean they’re not really a dated kind of thing, but the trench coat was back a long time ago. Get with it! What are you going to tell me next, Uggs are “in”? (Yecccchhh. Ugliest trend ever.)
OK, I admit it. I’ve been just surfing around having FUN today. I refuse to do any news-related posts today. Go to BlogsForTerri and get updated there on the Terri Schiavo case, and read other blogs for newsy stuff if you want that right now.
Feel like some trivial pursuits tonight?
Can I just say I LOVE MakeupAlley !
And the Manolo! The Manolo he is so superfantastic even the Chris Muir he agrees! The Chris Muir he has superfantastic taste, I must say.
And the Fuggers! Yes, I know you know them, but I was reading them from DAY ONE. So there.
…Of course nobody finds fugly like SondraK with the Haute Couture WTF…(Headmistress, PLEASE, put them in a category?)
My favorite place to play and find new blogs (new to me)–Michele Agnew. I LOVE her site; she (as well as SondraK) makes me want to give up “serious” blogging and just make it FUN like hers. Truly one of the best blogs anywhere!
What The F–k?! I just found out Tom Green has a BLOG…and he’s NOT a moonbat! While you’re there, check out his USO thing. Very Kool–I didn’t know he went to Iraq with the USO, either.
Need more trivial pursuits?
Wow, I hate to be so superficial with someone as distinguished and brilliant as Condoleezza Rice, but seriously–no one in Washington dresses better than she does! Maybe I’m biased because this look is exactly something I would wear…

Her preference for higher-end designers is already known to those of us who read the fashion magazines. Is a Vogue cover in her future? It would be interesting, and maybe do something about that New York snarkiness toward the “Washington look” (read: frumpy).
I know, it’s a silly thing to talk about. At least I’m not stupid about it though. (”Dominatrix?” Gimme a break. It’s just good taste in clothes.)
OK, I’m finally getting back to a normal state here–running cable instead of DSL (HUGE difference, BTW) and everything’s relatively Kool. No more computer rants.
Regular blogging shall resume now–I think…
Well, I was just looking at stats since I got a notice telling me I’m approaching bandwidth limits again. Here’s who sent me the most traffic this month so far. Be sweet, go visit them and say hello…
The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler
Yeah, I know this is a lazy post. So what? I just want to share the love. (Not that they need any help from me–I just think you should go visit. Besides, you never know, I might very well be in Computer Hell™ again when you read this.)
[Update: Go vote for American Warmonger for King of the Blogs. 'Cause Daisy Cutter said to, and because Jeremy is Kool. Go vote now.]

Florida Supreme Court splits 4-3 on surprise last-minute filing in Terri Schiavo Case
While many parties have become involved in the Terri Schiavo case, there has been much activity under the radar, not reported by the mainstream press.
Exhausted g@&&@^^ vocabulary today. Only capable of speaking w/o pronouns. Can’t f@<%ing speak/think/write without prolific swearing. Beth + computer = HELL.
 OK, I’ve had enough of my DSL service–or lack thereof. I’ve had a bad connection all morning (AGAIN) so I’m switching to cable. Today. Posting will resume later on this afternoon. For those of you who have my email address, please start using beth # bamapachyderm ? com until I get a Comcast email account. I haven’t cut off DSL and the current email yet, but I will soon so I can still get stuff at the soon-to-be “old” email address, but you may as well change your address books accordingly now.
