How about rooting for OUR SIDE for a change?
Remember this?

It pissed off a few people. Well, here’s an example of why I posted it. I just got a comment on my “Islamofascist Watch” post:
so let me understand this, if a country invaded the U.S., under let’s say false pretenses or lies, like the U.S. had WMD’s (which we actually do) and the people here who supported the military industrial comlex that manufacturers these WMD’s stood up and began to reell the agressors who invaded and occupy the country are they terrorists or insurgents?
Comment by Hillary — January 24, 2005 @ 1:11 pm
I just posted a comment in response, but I think all the others who say our being in Iraq is unjust need to hear this too:
“Hillary,”
Are you one of us (on my side) leaving a joke comment to illustrate how stupid the dhimmis are?
If not, I have a few things to say.
First, SETTLE DOWN when you comment. See the note above the comment frame that says the code is case-sensitive? If you take a deep breath and slow down, you might notice it. I deleted the duplicate post–both ended up in the moderation queue because you don’t follow instructions very well. (Or spell, or form proper sentences very well, for that matter.)
Now, about your ridiculous (!) comment.
We don’t “invade” every country that has WMDs, if you hadn’t noticed. If that were the SOLE reason we went into Iraq, we’d have Russia, Israel, India, Britain, France, etc., etc., etc., to deal with as well. It has to do with the likelihood of them being used against us–and as we ALL KNOW (or damn well SHOULD) Saddam Hussein HAS USED WMDs against his own people in the past. I’m not even going to go any further with this part of the discussion with you, because it’s pointless. You obviously don’t get it.
More to the point, Zarqawi IS a terrorist. He is NOT an “insurgent.” The Iraqis know this, why don’t YOU? If we were in the situation you describe, WE wouldn’t be beheading fellow Americans or anyone else, we wouldn’t be indiscriminately murdering civilians in our own country, we wouldn’t be blatantly ignoring the laws of armed conflict (i.e. pretending to be injured and then opening fire, fighting from churches, stockpiling weapons caches in schools, the list goes on). There IS a difference, but you sick people refuse to acknowledge it because all you stand for is being anti-Bush, and YOU KNOW IT.
Obviously you’re missing another point, as well. Zarqawi and all the other al-Qaeda-affiliated TERRORISTS are at war with anything and everything that isn’t FOR THEM. They don’t give a flying shi’ite about Iraq or Iraqi people. They want one thing–a fascist Islamic theocracy ruled by THEMSELVES.
It’s YOU people who will end up causing more deaths by further motivating those who are killing our troops with your empty, politically- (NOT morally-) motivated rhetoric. I suppose that’s what you want though–I hope you’re proud of yourselves. That’s why we can’t stand “your side”–it’s one thing to disagree on domestic issues, but your black-hearted death chants against our troops is sickening, evil, anti-American, and ANTI-HUMAN.
Wake up.
By the way, I forgot to mention this: I’m not open to debate on this, either. If you are reading this and you disagree, blog it on your own bandwidth. YOU, the blog reader, will NEVER change my mind on this absent any new and credible evidence (not re-hashed propaganda). As far as I’m concerned (and I have a right to MY opinion), views like those stated by “Hillary” and others who cry “lies,” “Halliburton,” “imminent threat” (you’d better back up your OWN claims, leftard, before you start demanding I provide links for YOUR claims), or any other similar left-wing, Islamic apologist, dhimmi propaganda are sickening, evil, anti-American, and ANTI-HUMAN.
And guess what else. Flame away if you want. I don’t listen to left-wing propaganda talking points as spewed by the left’s minions, and you’re not taking up bandwidth that I PAY FOR. I’m feeling delete-happy today.

UPDATE: Want more proof of the Left’s mental illness? Michelle Malkin has more disgusting examples of the Left’s War on The Troops.
Oh, are you offended because you’re a liberal? You should be. Distance yourself from these moonbats by ROOTING FOR OUR SIDE for a change.
UPDATE 2: Blogger John C. A. Bambenek has contact information for the University of Oregon moonbats who banned “Support the Troops” car magnets! Go get ‘em!

Perfect response, Beth.
No, they don’t get it, and they never will because they don’t even bother collecting the facts.
Jody says:
Ha! Good for you, Beth! Except I can’t fault her for the code thing, I don’t think I “got” the case sensitive thing until like a few days ago. Ooops, there I go again with that total honesty thing. That’s probaly one thing I don’t need to tell people about me right?
stephen says:
Comment deleted because this idiot demands I do research to disprove his own THEORY, where he gave absolutely ZERO to back up his assumptions. Also deleted due to obnoxiousness, making assumptions about ME (who he knows absolutely NOTHING about), and because he didn’t even leave a link to his own site or email address.
Chickenshi’ite.
-Beth
Beth says:
Jody, at least you’re honest, and you’re not alone in the mistake!
Others (always those who have something oppositional to say) make the mistake and then claim “censorship” (what a farkin’ joke) when their comments don’t show up!
stephen says:
Goodness, Beth, my apologies. I will be sure this idiot no longer leaves his drivel on your website.
By the way, I did not know leaving an e-mail address or a URI was a requirement. My bad. If it makes you feel better, I can be contacted at ####################. I do not have a weblog, so I put up no website. But I will put up the website I have maintained for a few years - it’s not political, however. Sorry.
Beth says:
Stephen, my MAIN objection among others (read it again) is to you making claims that you cannot prove, yet you demand that I prove or disprove them for you. Not. My. Job.
BTW, I blanked out your email address in the comment text to prevent spammer email address harvesting, so don’t make any censorship claims.
stephen says:
Beth,
It was not my intention of claiming censorship - it’s your website, do as you please. My e-mail was harvested years ago, so it’s no bother to me.
Regarding claims I cannot prove, I can only comment that when it came to our latest war, the job wasn’t for me or people like me (by the way, now that we are deep in it, I would continue to fight the war - but that is a different subject) to prove Saddam didn’t have the weapons or was a threat. The onus was on the President and his people to show Saddam had the weapons and was an imminent threat, and in my view (liberal-lefty-loonie-biased as it is) he did neither. Now we are in a conflict whose outcome is as yet unsure, and our image in the eyes of many in the world is tarnished for a long time to come. I don’t disagree Saddam was a badass who should have been killed, and I think now that we Americans are there we have to see this thing through. This doesn’t excuse Bush’s rush to war, and he should not get a free pass.

Beth,
I think I love you!

PS Oh yeah, when I get a few inches down into your blog I get a vertical purple bar alongside the left sidebar that continues down the side of the page covering up the first few columns of characters. Any clue? It starts right alongside the blogmachine box and is about an inch wide.

Beth, ditto what Jason just said!
John Bambenek says:
Thanks for the TB, glad the info was useful to you. These guys are still trying to hold on to “the law” as something to hide behind, but it just isn’t true.
John says:
Beth,
Your response was perfect…it’s precisely why I read your blog. I will not apologize for ridding the world of Saddam or for attempting to establish democracy in a nation of 25 million people.
Rick says:
Well said Beth. It amazes me that there are people who actually think the way Hillary does. And the sad part is they are the most vocal part of the liberal left, In a word they are clueless. They claim to support the troops but in reality the only troops they support are the ones fighting against Americans. It sickens me.

A true Stone cold 3:16 moment
Are you reading My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy? if the answer is no you should be. Today while going through her blog i find this post that sums up the way i feel so much of the time as i read liberal blogs
Eric says:
So Stephen must have missed the story of Vladimir Putin informing President Bush that Russian intelligence had learned Saddam was planning attacks inside the U.S. That’s just one example. Of course, Stephen would prefer, I’m sure, a return to the halcyon days of the Clinton era, where no terrorist attacked the U.S. or its interests, and we were all fat, dumb, and happy due to his sound economic policies.
And for your peace of mind, Beth, I would never, ever post a comment under the name of “Hillary.” If I did, I’d have to chew my fingers off afterward.
Beth says:
I doubt Stephen will be back, which is fine with me. Apparently he didn’t understand that my opinion isn’t open for debate the first three times I told him. Whatever. At least I can credit him with the fact that he innocently left off his ID the first go-around, rather than being the chickenshi’ite I thought he was (like 99% of the trolls). I still will never, ever, do the research to disprove ridiculous propaganda that isn’t itself presented with facts, though.
And…about “Hellery”–I know an Eric-troll when I see one. YOU wouldn’t have stooped so low as to call yourself the “H” word, much less link to Hillbilly’s unofficial campaign site. In fact, I think I’ll go delete that link right now.
Dianne says:
A perfect example of rightwing democracy…you’re welcome here as long as you agree with me. What are you people afraid of?
stephen says:
Considering this topic is not open to debate, what more is there for this Clinton-loving liberal troll to say? Take care. :)
Beth says:
Dianne,
Thanks for again proving my long-standing theory–that being that “you people” twist everything to suit your preconceived notions.
You immaturity really shows. If you can’t agree to disagree, then I’m not going to bother with you. There are some opinions of mine that are NOT going to change. A few examples:
1. My kid is cuter than yours.
2. My blog is better than yours.
3. The war in Iraq is RIGHT.
Get it? What’s the point in arguing? You are NOT.GOING.TO.CHANGE.MY.MIND.
Grow up. There’s a difference between “being afraid” of something (seriously, give me a farking break) and being steadfast in one’s beliefs.
Furthermore, this IS NOT a “rightwing democracy”–it’s a BLOG. I pay for it. I choose NOT to waste my time arguing incessantly with “you people.” Like I said, agree to disagree. Life is TOO SHORT to spend it arguing with “you people” when I have a FULLY-INFORMED (thank you very much) opinion already.
When you come up with new, credible, factual, and documented evidence, bring it on. Since you apparently can’t read well, I’ll repeat: I’m not interested in listening to more left-wing, anti-Bush propaganda that’s used in a shallow argument against the war. Read my whole post again, particularly the END of it.
THAT.IS.FINAL.
Beth says:
Stephen, if we can agree to disagree on Iraq, you are welcome here.
Sigmund Carl and Alfred says:
Oh, I’m sensitive to the left. I mean, only WE would lie about everything.
That said, I guess we ought to take everyone else’s word as being Gospel.
They say they want to kill us all. I for one, believe the Islamofascists.
Well, then don’t bitch when we defend ourselves. I suspect the Islamists won’t be checking voter registration cards.
I’m too pissed to do a better job of making myself clear, but you get the point.
Daniel Bareither says:
i dunno, i’m not sure if “leftard” was strong enough… i might have gone rott on them and used “f*cktard.” oh well. keep up the good work.
Daniel Bareither says:
oh yeah… i also used that pic on my blog, and it really pissed forrest of. which just made it that much cooler.
Beth says:
SC&A: I got your point very clearly–like always, “megadittos” (liberals love that word, haha) to everything you said!

Blog SOUP!
MY favorite blogger who I wish would add me to her blogroll (hint!hint!) asks the “moonbats”, how about rooting for OUR SIDE for a change? Warning: There is some strong language on her site, more than the occasional “darn” I might throw out there,…
