32nd Anniversary

43 million extinguished lives later…

– Michelle Malkin’s blogger roundup

– Huge roundup and pro-life blogroll: ProlifeBlogs.com

Do you need to see what an abortion looks like to understand the horror? (This link is not graphic; their links ARE. As they should be.) Some post-viewing comments at the site:

Your website has completely changed my views. I, personally, did not believe in abortions, but I felt it should be left up to the woman. Now I have realized that the “glob of tissue” the abortion clinics often talk about is truly a human being. I will pass information about this website along to everyone I know. Thank you so much. You have saved more unborn babies’ lives then you’ll ever know.

I have been a pro-choice believer my entire life until someone shared your web-site with me. I was first shocked then sickened by what I saw. God, how could I have been so misguided my entire life? I actually believed it was not a baby. I actually believed a first trimester abortion was fine. Boy did you open my eyes. I believe that God worked with me today to show me the right way. I have often wondered if I was wrong but always dismissed those thoughts until I saw these photographs. Several of my pro-life friends told me to pray for help in seeing how wrong abortion is. I have prayed but with yours and God’s help I found this site and now I see. I am 30 years old and a mother of two children. I always thought this was a woman’s issue and never considered anything but the choice. Now I see it for what it is…just plain wrong. Thank you so much for this site. You have reached at least one person.

UPDATE: Here’s an EXCELLENT possible solution to the abortion issue, without making it illegal (since that probably won’t happen). Good thinking, Mike!

The shocked views expressed here remind me of people who have no idea what goes on in a slaughterhouse… When are people going to open their eyes… and is “pro life” not a clever way of reducing freedoms?

Three governmental solutions to scale back abortion
This post got me thinking about some ways to scale back and eventually eliminate abortion in America. 1) Impose a 25-50%% VAT on abortions. 2) Require that abortion clinics extract and ship fetal stem cells at their own cost to…

Jon - not to be overly insensitive or conceited, but are you putting animals on the same scale as humans?

Pro-Life as a means of reducing freedom? Sure, in much the same way as we don’t permit murder, rape, or yelling fire in a crowded theatre (unless there is a fire, that is).

Ditto to what you said, TJ–we don’t have freedom to murder, etc.

Jonathan, I don’t understand what you mean when you’re saying the responses remind you of people who have no idea what goes on in a slaughterhouse. Do you think what happens in a slaughterhouse with animals is less acceptable than what goes on in an abortion slaughterhouse?

Did you actually look at the pictures, and if so can you honestly say that abortion isn’t “slaughter”? Maybe you should look, and you will be equally shocked, if not changed.

If you really think about it, approximately 20 million of those abortions would be of voting age. That is a potential voter pool that the pro choice movement could tap that is gone forever. Bush surely would have lost. Think about it. They are eating their young

    LIFEBLOGGING
Over the weekend, many pro-life bloggers took note of the 32nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Instapunk e-mailed me with an interesting observation that most of the bloggers commemorating the day, with a few exceptions, were women and that most…

    BME -

Let’s suppose we did do these things (though I find it humorous that anyone claiming to be right-wing might want a VAT ;) - if the woman went ahead with the abortion after viewing the child before and after the fact, then what? Another round of “What a monster!”-type haranguing? Seems to me you’re merely wanting to validate something you already think, i.e. that women who have abortions are true monsters at heart.

“stephen” (who knows who you REALLY are, chickenshi’ite):
You need to learn to read. Look again at Mike’s post in the comments to see what I actually said. I don’t say “what a monster,” but I will to YOU.
Furthermore, unlike you left-wing absolutists, I do find exceptions to things. I have NO problem with taxing abortion, and neither does Mike, the author of that post–and he’s a Libertarian!
Don’t assume so much; it makes you look like a moron.

This is the same “stephen” who left a message in a different, later, thread - and who did not know at the time an e-mail or webpage was required. (I apologize - yours is the first blog I have added comments to.) I must say, too, I am surprised at the words tossed at me - I expected better. I will refrain from anymore comments here.
