$1.3 Billion for new UN HQ - at YOUR expense?
I guess the UN building isn’t quite posh enough any more for Kofi and his crew of crooks:
Just when you think taxpayers have been soaked enough, another ridiculous idea comes from Washington. Now they are talking about sticking the taxpayers with a loan or a loan guarantee for the United Nations to build a new headquarters for a cool $1.3 billion.
Who says it has to be here in the US, and why? Let France have them–or better yet, how about in Israel, so they can see with their own eyes why they have to build a security wall? (Maybe a little bit of living that life might make them SLIGHTLY less hostile to Israel?)
They want 1.3 billion to pay for their new digs, right here where they ought NOT be. Let them take their anti-Americanism and their diplomatic immunity somewhere else, anywhere else.
Sign the PETITION to get them OUT of the US!
And while you’re at it, if you missed this one the other day, there’s another petition pushing for Kofi Annan’s resignation.

and of course all this while they want more precious New York park space. To thumb their nose at the Citizens of New York, The citizens of the United States and the C itizens of any world Democracy.

I’ll contribute….if the building is in the shape of an outhouse and is built in Zaire. $1.2B will go a long way to help those people living on the Northern Indian Ocean…..especially from a “humanitarian” organization. These people are about to irritate me.

That really isn’t cool. As far as the petitions, I gave up on Internet petitions. The several I have signed have made no impact and as much as I would like these to, they probably won’t.

Marcus–this one is from Move America Forward, a 527 group that actually does have some influence. Sign it; it can’t hurt anything.
Beth says:
D: Well, how about it? I KNOW you can design it (the building)–you ought to put in a proposal! Maybe something like an outhouse-shaped “correctional facility” for them? muahahahaha

I wonder who’s in the Clampett’s old shack in the Ozarks now?
You think we could offer them a few hundred buck to make way for the U.N.? I think we could even throw in His and Hers outhouses. We could paint one white and call it the White House even.
