QUESTION:
Kerry says that Bush didn’t use war as the LAST resort.
My question: To what point does a situation get, before war is considered THE “last resort,” and becomes acceptable to John Kerry? Do we have to wait until we are attacked?
Does ANYONE doubt that Saddam would eventually arm those who would attack us, considering Saddam’s army had been firing upon our aircraft (patrolling the no-fly zone per the ceasefire)for the previous 12 years? Is that not in itself considered an attack? If North Korean or Iranian–or French, for that matter–troops repeatedly fired upon our aircraft for twelve years, wouldn’t we consider THAT an act of war?
